If you could change your name what would you change it to? I've grown to like it, so I wouldn't change it. I might change my first name. LOL.

Who are you with/who do you want to be with? There's one person in my heart that I feel like I need to be with, but I can't be.

Have you ever been in love, if so how many times? I was in love twice. One person I truly cared about, and the other not so much.

Do you have any bad habits? I smoke cigarettes, a lot. Also, I bite my nails.

Do you have any secrets? Not really. Most people know that I'm a stoner. -shrug.-

Are you fake? I used to be. I used to try and be like the people I admired. But something clicked.. I don't need to be like other people. There are people who like me for who I am. Who cares if I like My Chemical Romance & I like Star Wars? Who cares if I can beat most girls at Guitar Hero? I'm Laurie, and I don't give a fuck what you think about me.

What do you want to do in life? Make people laugh.

Today's Lesson: Awesome Foreign Music. (Part 1)

So, today.. I wanted to talk about songs I used to listen to all the time. Before I discovered My Chemical Romance, I only listened to JPOP/JROCK... Confused? It means "Japanese Pop" & "Japanese Rock." So yeah. Pretty much every song I listened to was in a different language, but this helped me to learn what Japanese I do. Yeah, you could say a lot of the japanese I know is lyrical, but whatever. Its really interesting to listen to music from a country that you're not from. Now that I listened to American Pop on occasion I have noticed the similarity, but I like the Japanese pop better. LOL.

So, that's what I will show you guys today. ^_^

First we have a song called, "Rinbu Revolution" which means "Round Dance Revolution." Its sung by Okui Masami, and its from the anime "Revolutionary Girl Utena," one of my favourites. This song is so good. My favourite lyric of the song is the last line. In Japanese it says, "Watashi wa sekai wo kaeru" which is "I will change the world." I like it.



Next we have a song from the same anime. This song is called "VIRTUAL STAR Hasseigaku" which means "VIRTUAL STAR Embryology." I like the musical part of the song, but if I had to pick my favourite line, I would say... "Saranaru enkan mugen ni hatenaki. Hitotsu no yuuki teki na kikan, Hitotsu no eikyuu undou souchi," which translated is, "Further circulation, infinitely everlasting. A kind of organic engine, a kind of perpetual motion device."



The next song is from the anime (I bet you're seeing a trend, yes.. I am a loser.) Neon Genesis Evangelion. The song is called "Zankoku na Tenshi no TE-ZE," which translated means "The Cruel Angel's Thesis." I think my favourite line is "Shounen yo shinwa ni nare!" which means "Young boy, become the legend!"



Next is from "Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi" the song is "Treat or Goblins" by Megumi Hayashibara HEARRRRRRRTTTTZZZZZ. I love her. I'll have 2 more of her's on here too. This song is a lot of fun. I can't pick a part I like the most. All of it is amazing.



Let's continue with Megumi-sama and start with the opening theme for the anime "Slayers NEXT" which is called "Give A Reason." My favourite part is from the chorus; "Here we go! Go! Hashiri-tsudzukeru. Dare ni mo tomerare wa shinai. Mirai no jibun e to... Give a reason for life todoketai" which translates to "Here we go! Go! I'll keep running. I won't be stopped by anybody. I wanna get along... Give a reason for life to the me of the future."



This song is probably my most favourite of any song I have liked in my entire lifetime. Every part of it is amazing. The lyrics, the music... I love it. Its from the anime Saber Marionette J. The song is called "Successful Mission" and its performed by none other than Megumi Hayashibara. My absolute FAVOURITE part is "Ayasuri-ningyou na mainichi no naka de ZERO to mugen no hazama wo mayotte-iru. Karamata ito wo tachigiru chikara wa kimi no kokoro no naka ni mada nemutte-iru" which means "Day in, day out, like a puppet on a string wandering the void between Zero & infinity. The strength to sever the tangled strings still sleeps within your heart."

Final Fantasy VIII. God I love that game. A lot of people really seem to not like it, due to its strict love storyline. However, that's what I love about it. I don't care too much about the main character's love interest with the female lead. It's his father's relationship I like the most.

His father, as hinted in the game, is Laguna Loire. Laguna was a soldier for a huge army, but what he really wanted to do was be a writer. He wanted to visit the world and write about what he saw. After meeting his favourite singer, the female lead's mother, he was shipped out to Centra, a far away continent. After getting into a freak accident, he was wounded and found by a kind woman by the name of Raine. She took him in and nursed him back to health, and in return he helped keep the town clear of monsters. While he was living there, he became quite fond of Raine, and the little girl she had taken in named Ellone. He and Raine tended to argue quite a bit, but she could tell he really cared about her and Ellone. One night, they had an argument... Raine turned to go back to her house, and Laguna grabbed her hand, pushing a ring onto her finger. She stared at the metal ring on her finger, before lifting her hand and smiling at Laguna. He lifted his hand as well to show a similar ring. She hugged him tight. Laguna had to leave the town, but told Raine & Ellone that he would be back. Raine, who was pregnant at the time, gave birth to their son, while Laguna was gone. She died in childbirth, calling for Laguna. Ellone, being a child at Raine's time of death, was taken with the baby to an Orphanage ran by Edea & Cid Kramer. Laguna returned to the town, unable to find Raine or Ellone. He had found out that Ellone was taken to the Orphanage, but when he arrived there, Edea told him that Ellone had been taken by Esthar soldiers under the order of Sorceress Adel. He went to Esthar to save Ellone, but was captured. He helped the citizens that formed the Anti Adel group seal Adel forever, but since he wasn't paying attention, they nominated him as President of Esthar since Adel was the ruler.

I could go on.

His story with Raine is just so romantic. I cried soooooo hard when I saw their parts in the ending. If you haven't played Final Fantasy VIII I definitely recommend it. ^_^

Achieving Greatness.

Today I achieved greatness. Out of pure boredom. I played Resident Evil 2, Claire A Scenario. I beat it in 2hrs & 40mins. I got an A ranking. ^_^; But I cheated. But I needed to do that so I can unlock the secret levels for my Let's Plays.

I really need to do something with my life. ROFL. I feel so useless. I just sit in my computer chair all day. Or in my recliner. Or I sleep.

But honestly.. I've not been able to sleep very well. I don't know what's up. Its usually VERY easy for me to go to sleep and to stay asleep. I seem to always be waking up, or I can't get to sleep. :(

I think it would be cool if I could be in a horror video game...

Like.. I would like to be able to just once be in a Survival Horror game, but like in real life. I've played so many, I think my own adventure would be cool. I suppose its due to my constant Let's Playing on YouTube.

I've just gotten back into Video Games. I have this brand new Xbox 360 and I feel like I am neglecting it. I think I will get Final Fantasy XIII or Alan Wake. And BioShock.

There is a lot of things I really want. I want the MCRmy back. I want MCR back. I want a new CD. I want to see them live again. I haven't seen them in 2 years. :( I didn't get to see Frank during the Reggie tour. Its funny. Frank is the last one I talked to. ROFL Although he is the only one. I miss my boys. :( I miss them hardcore.

I feel like I'm filling my MCR void will mini obsessions until they come back. But from a tweet Toro sent and the blog posted under Mikey, it seems they are getting closer to being finished.

I know people try to ignore the whole talk. But if MCR tours again... They do need a new drummer. I really hope James takes it or they offer it to him. He played drums in Coalesce. I think he's with The Get Up Kids again.. but I don't know. :( I just don't want it to be a douche. And I hope deep in my heart that whoever it is, learns Revenge & Bullets. I want to hear Bullets again. I haven't heard a Bullets song since... Warped 05. :( Our Lady Of Sorrows. Gerard said, "This song is about when I got stabbed in Kindergarten." LOL. It WOULD have been the snippet of Vampires they played on the very last tour they did, but at the show I went to... Gerard said, "Toro said we shouldn't play that Vampires bullshit for you guys, so instead we decided to play Desert Song." That was the most beautiful version of Desert Song I have ever heard. LOL.
